Getting started with
Fatoora
Create your organization, land on Settings, configure ETA, install the local signer, then issue your first Valid invoice — step by step inside Fatoora.
This guide follows the real Fatoora product path — not generic ETA theory. After you finish, you should have a Preprod (or Prod) connection tested, a local signer running, and at least one document that reached ETA.
1. Create your organization
Open /signup. Enter:
- Full name
- Work email
- Password (8+ characters)
- Organization name
- URL slug (preview shows `/t/{slug}`)
Click Create organization. Fatoora creates your user, tenant, and OWNER membership, starts a 14-day trial, generates a signer API key, and redirects you to `/t/{slug}/settings` (not the documents list).
If public signup is disabled on the server (`ALLOW_PUBLIC_SIGNUP=false`), ask your provider to create the company from the platform admin console instead.
2. Switch language if you need Arabic
Use EN / ع in the app shell. Preference is stored on your user and in the `eta_locale` cookie. The product UI is bilingual with RTL for Arabic.
3. Complete Settings before submitting
You can draft invoices without ETA credentials, but Submit ETA and Refresh ETA need a configured Client ID + Secret. Follow Configure Fatoora Settings and ETA registration.
Minimum issuer fields before Ready to sign: TIN, legal name, activity code, governorate, region/city, street. Then click Save settings and Test ETA login.
4. Install the local USB signer
ETA signatures cannot be created in the cloud. On the PC that holds the Egypt Trust / ePass token, install the Fatoora signer (default UI: `http://localhost:7733`). Paste the tenant signer API key from Settings. Details: USB signer setup.
5. Add master data
From the left nav: Customers and Products. Or use Import for Excel/CSV — see Import guide.
6. Issue the first invoice
Go to Outbound → New invoice → save draft or mark Ready to sign → Sign (local) → Submit ETA → Refresh ETA until Valid or Invalid. Full flow: Create, sign, submit.
Recommended order (checklist)
- Create organization on `/signup`
- Fill Settings (environment, Client ID/Secret, issuer)
- Click Test ETA login until OK
- Install signer + paste API key + test oneshot sign
- Add one customer + one product
- Create → Ready to sign → Sign → Submit → Refresh
- Only then switch environment from preprod to prod when ETA confirms you are live
